I cannot believe what Kathleen Parker wrote (“Case of mistaken identity would settle Kavanaugh mess,” Star-Advertiser, Sept. 22).
Parker suggests maybe Christine Blasey Ford mistook Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh for someone else. It’s kind of hard to mistake who is on top of you. Parker also disparages Democratic senators who called for an FBI investigation. This is not some special counsel Ken Starr investigation that lasts months or years.
An FBI investigation would take about one week to talk to those at the party, Ford’s therapist and her husband. The FBI is supposed to investigate every judicial nominee ( not just if there is a federal crime). The FBI has not investigated this allegation.
Having 11 white male Republican senators who have already said they’ve made up their minds is no substitute for an FBI investigation.
I think a doppelgänger for Parker must have written this article.
