U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono made the national scene with her statement, “Guess who is perpetrating all of these kinds of actions? It’s the men in this country. I just want to say to the men in this country: Just shut up and step up. Do the right thing, for a change.”
If Hirono wants to play the #MeToo movement against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, she should reinvestigate the 1992 sexual assault charges against the late U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye. Isn’t that what the #MeToo movement is all about?
Google “accusations against Hawaii senator meet a silence in his seat of power” to learn what occurred.
Hirono should reinvestigate the allegations, as she professes to be a strong supporter of the #MeToo movement. I dare her to do the right thing.
