It seems the voters of this state are being asked to decide on the matter of a proposed constitutional amendment to tax investment property for public education.
Shouldn’t the expected revenues be used in the manner determined specifically by the teachers and principals at each school for the specific students?
Otherwise, we voters are being drawn into a political situation whereby the decisions — and budgeted monies — will continue to be decided by legislative and other vested interests.
I say, the vote of confidence and trust should be for the teachers and principals — for their kids — and not for the amendment in its present form.
