Average workers get meager tax cut
Well, it’s been close to a year now since the phenomenally hyped Republican tax-cut plan was signed into law, and guess what I’m still waiting for?
A tax cut.
Was the relief for average workers so tiny that it literally only amounted to a few cents extra on each paycheck, while all the real breaks went to tycoons and corporations that were already swimming in dough?
Thanks a lot, Republicans.
I think it was very appropriate that Newt Gingrich proudly referred to this legislation as a “piece de resistance.”
It reminds me of all those movie critics who tend to revert to fancy French words in praising movies that are actually turkeys.
