With more than 2,500 pumpkins in various sizes, Holy Nativity School’s Great Pumpkin Festival on Saturday is sure to have the perfect pumpkin for you and your family.
“This event was created by our Head of School in hopes of bringing the community together,” said Kimberly Hoi, director of special events at the school.
In addition to the plethora of pumpkins — locally grown by Aloun Farms — another highlight of the festival is the Keiki Fun Zone, which includes children’s activities and fall-themed arts and crafts, Hoi said.
There will be a petting zoo, book fair, live entertainment with music and dance performances, silent auction and more. For the competitive types, consider entering one of the many contests, such as a Halloween costume contest and watermelon-eating and corn-husking contests.
Check out the festival games and rides, including an obstacle course, mechanical cow and bungee trampoline.
“We also have a country market, which is a great place to find locally made foods and crafts just in time for the holiday season,” Hoi said.
