The Hawaii beach volleyball team, coming off a third-place finish at May’s NCAA tournament, will host Cal Poly and UC Davis next month at Queen’s Beach.
The Rainbow Wahine face the Mustangs in a pair of exhibition duals on Nov. 17, the first using the traditional format. The second will use an experimental Ryder Cup-style, where coaches will alternate selecting pairs against their counterparts to create the match-ups on each court.
On Nov. 18, Hawaii, Cal Poly and beach volleyball newcomer UC Davis will compete in a 16-team pairs tournament. The times for both dates will be announced later.
The SandBows finished last season 37-5, winning their third consecutive Big West championship.
