I find it most incredulous to read the headlines about speaking out against bullying to our teenagers in school (“Isle bullying on par with U.S.,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 1), while your paper says hardly anything about our national leaders, like U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, exhorting people to confront members of her opposing party in public places like gas stations, stores and restaurants until they are forced to leave.
Or former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who said about Republicans, “When they go low, we kick them.” Or even Hillary Clinton, with her recent appeal to resort to incivility toward those with whom she politically disagrees.
Which of these two opposite messages should our high school students follow?
These national leaders need to be called out for their inciteful and public bullying behavior.
