It is understandable that Republicans do not like U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. She is the most progressive member of the most progressive congressional delegation in the most progressive state.
This is evidenced by the overwhelming preference for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 primary and over Donald Trump in the general election.
However, some progressives fault Gabbard for emphasizing national over local issues. They forget that local issues are meant to be dealt with by the Legislature and county councils. The proper job of the members of the U.S. Congress is to deal with national issues from the perspective of their individual district or state.
That is exactly what Gabbard does; so if you believe in a progressive agenda, Gabbard does an excellent job.
