As Donald Trump promises to make America great again, I believe our country would be better served if we concentrated less on making America great, but rather on making America good. It was the senior Rockefeller who told his sons, “To whom much is given, much is expected.” And America has been given so much; therefore, much should be expected.
And for those who follow the siren song of Trump, they will find the Trump tree will bear only bitter fruit. Where the world used to look to America as the country that would extend a helping hand when needed, it now sees a country that looks inward, concerned only about itself. We can do better.
Robert L. Dixon
