In these times, when we are bombarded by other news media with horrific news, more than ever I enjoy the balanced reporting of the Star-Advertiser. Our daily paper provides me with the opportunity to read several fascinating and/or human interest articles each day.

Recently, three caught my attention: “Ag Department imports 4 sterile tree snakes to train dogs,” “I had Alzheimer’s. But I wasn’t ready to retire,” and “Delta restricts support animals on long flights” (Star-Advertiser, Dec. 11).

I am grateful for your lively and wide-ranging coverage that includes more than traumatic and dramatic international, national and local news.
