In America, politicians focus on endless investigations of petty misdemeanors and sexual misdeeds of opponents while China built a national grid and electric system and connected its entire country with high-speed rail.
Our universities graduate women’s and gender studies, sociology and psychology majors whose likely job prospects are waiting tables, while China produces engineers and technicians who built wind farms that service 110 million homes, and in 10 years, will double.
We struggle with homelessness; China builds high-rises. We have border disputes; China just says NO. We let our infrastructure decay and use courts to obstruct progress, as they build roads, airports, factories, bridges, natural-gas-carrying ships, the world’s largest telescopes and invest in resource-rich, underdeveloped countries.
