My husband and I both work, so being able to take our dogs with us when we go out on Sundays to the beach or for a special meal out, means a lot to us.
I am not sure why people are so upset about having dogs at restaurants. Our dogs are house dogs — they’re never relegated to the backyard unless they want to be sunning or enjoying a cool breeze, and guess what? My husband and I have never gotten sick from having them in the house, sitting on the couch with us or sleeping in bed with us. So just what is the big deal?
If there are people who are not dog people, then they can dine somewhere else. It is really special when we can take our boys to the beach and then stop somewhere and have a nice meal out.
And we were quite surprised to find how dog-unfriendly it is here, especially with so many dogs on the island.
