Any appearance of impropriety should be avoided, especially from Supreme Court justices.
A justice recused herself four years ago when Tommy Waters challenged the City Council election results — but not now. That at least raises a question for me.
Another question I have is for the state Attorney General. Why was the United States Postal Service not been heard from? It was a key player in this case.
As a voter I expect that my ballot will be delivered and counted. Now we all know to get our absentee ballots in as soon as possible or hand-deliver them to the City Clerk’s office to ensure they are counted.
Could City Council member Trevor Ozawa have responded to the decision in a more amicable manner? Yes, of course. But given the intense pressure he must have been under, I admire his restraint.
