To all of you who think the pending House and Senate bills allowing dogs in restaurants, with owner permission, is just wonderful, I must disagree.
It is hard enough to run a food establishment without adding more disturbances and problems. Dog owners, like parents of real children, do not always control their charges. Yes, a patron with a disruptive pet can be asked to remove the animal or leave the establishment. That then involves a slew of other potential problems for the owner.
If you work all day and need time with your pet, stay at home and enjoy. Just like parents who have disruptive children should do. Of course, they don’t think their child is disruptive.
