I agree with the unfortunate requirement that would record cars running red lights (“Lawmakers advance red-light cameras bill,” Star-Advertiser, Feb. 21).
Because of a disability, I must always use TheBus. I often see cars running red lights at a nearby intersection. Recently I saw a car running a red light while a pedestrian was in the crosswalk. That could have been fatal.
I often read that pedestrians are injured or killed while in crosswalks. Especially with a large number of tourists here, we must be very careful that Hawaii is safe for pedestrians.
