Your editorial about what should be the response to the federal investigations of the rail project concluded that the only thing we can do is “wait, and hope — and worry” (“Keep rail going, but with caution,” Star-Advertiser, Our View, Feb. 24).
Maybe instead, we could develop a contingency plan if federal funding is cut. The feds may cut California’s rail project funds. Could the federal investigations here be a means for the feds to find the excuses needed to break the current funding deal?
We need a Plan B. Middle Street Terminus, anyone?
