Justice casts a wide net, and it always is a surprise how many fish are caught up in it.

Federal investigators have already served the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation with three subpoenas, but there are inevitably more to come as the investigation widens.

HART officials can cling desperately to the flimsy shield of attorney-client privilege to protect themselves, but the feds have only just begun. The stench of political corruption at both the city and the state levels is becoming too rotten to ignore.
