The early-morning walkers are talking about the ugly red plastic fencing placed along the walking paths at Magic Island.

What is the city’s Parks Department trying to do? The whole park area is closed except for the walking paths. This is not good for the general public.

Previously, you could see picnics being held by groups on leisurely Sunday afternoons, but not anymore. Tourists were seen taking pictures on the east side, using Waikiki as a backdrop. The city should do a better job to speed up its work and get it done pronto.
