You can’t help but notice all the trash littering the sides of the freeways and other streets on the island. On a recent trip to the mainland I couldn’t help but notice the lack of trash along the roads.

Some states use prisoners to keep the roads clean. I would suggest that with the large population of inmates at the Oahu Community Correctional Center, we could do the same thing. Put about 10 inmates on the roadsides to fill trash bags. Two armed guards should accompany the inmates to ensure safety and control. It would be nice to see our beautiful island free of trash and litter.
