I’ve had three children in high school. Two attended private school and one is now attending Kalani High School.
While there, I was stunned to see an embarrassing display of immodesty by quite a few students who wore revealing clothes that exposed in plain view, their breasts, belly buttons, stomach and even partial exposure of their bottom cheeks, as some teens are apt to do. The shorts were shorter than shorts should be.
Is this what I’m paying taxes to support? Do parents know how their children are dressing?
Being curious, I asked my children about Kalani’s dress code. They told me Kalani has a reputation for anything goes. I never saw improperly dressed girls at the high school where my two other children attended. They told me it wouldn’t be allowed.
As a result, I may enroll my daughter in another school next year. A quality school environment goes hand in hand with a quality education.
