There is discussion in the Legislature this session about automatic voter registration. I strongly support this.

We are supposed to live in a democracy where everyone eligible to vote should have a chance to express their opinion. But in many instances, for many reasons, people are not able to register. Let’s make it as easy as possible for eligible persons to register.

If underrepresented communities had more say as constituents voting, more inclusive legislation would ensue. AVR would help pave the way for greater participation.
