Regarding Ala Moana Regional Park: No. Just stop it with zip lines and fake amusements that abound and are more appropriate elsewhere. Use the money to first kick out and keep out the homeless. Their occupancy of public spaces isn’t fair to all who are footing the bills.
Take care of the restrooms and lawns, and maintain the trees. It is a well-used and loved space already. It is wonderful to see generations of families and friends enjoying it.
Mahalo to Bruce Lum, et al., for making their voices heard (“Updated proposal for Ala Moana Beach Park unsatisfactory,” Star-Advertiser, Island Voices, March 7).
