The scalpers are alive and well. The Los Angeles Rams/Dallas Cowboys football game was sold out in one day (“Tickets to Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys game at Aloha Stadium sold out,” Star-Advertiser, Top News, March 22).
For what it would cost me to get a decent seat, I can buy a brand-new television and enjoy the game at home.
Looking online, the worst junk seat in the nosebleed section facing the hot sun cost $128 each. A decent seat would cost $550 each or more.
The officials who underpriced these seats must have been the ones who underpriced the cost of the rail.
My bank account will not be derailed by these flim-flam, make-a-quick-profit scalpers. I guess I will stay at home and watch the game on my new TV, avoiding traffic and $5 hot dogs.
