Letter: Public must have access to full Mueller report

If we are to believe Attorney General William Barr, then the Mueller report indicates no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

We, the public, are being told — in a four-page summary of a document that is more than 300 pages long — that there is a lot of smoke, but no fire. We are supposed to accept this four-page summary, then, without skepticism.

Really? Or, perhaps, not even “maybe,” because the summary is 1.3 percent as long as the original document.

I feel like a passenger on a ship trying to navigate a field of icebergs at night. It’s not what we see that will sink us, it’s the unseen submerged 90 percent that is the potential danger.

We, the citizens, need to see the entire unredacted Mueller report so we can come to our own conclusions. What we don’t know could produce more tragic consequences than the Titanic’s running into an unseen obstruction.
