Invasive birds spread seeds of invasive plants, study finds

Researchers collected more than 3,200 fecal samples from 21 bird species on Oahu and found no evidence of native birds eating native plant seeds. A red-crested cardinal, an introduced bird species, enjoys the shade of sunset at Ala Moana Beach Park.
