The Saints retook the lead on Aulani Garcia’s RBI double in the fifth. Kupihea was hit by a pitch with one out and was replaced by courtesy runner Reyah Cheek. Kylee Bednar bunted Cheek to second and Garcia followed with a hit to right-center to score Cheek.
Kohala loaded the bases with one out in the top of the sixth, but a double play ended the threat.
St. Francis pulled away in the sixth when Shaylann Marie Grace hit a one-out double and Lono followed with a shot to left field to give the Saints a three-run cushion.
Kupihea retired Kohala in order in the seventh, ending the game with her final strikeout.
Kekoa went the distance in the circle for Kohala and pitched a four-hitter with three strikeouts. One of the runs against her was unearned.
St. Francis also beat Radford 12-1 and top-seeded Kamehameha-Hawaii 7-1 in the tournament.
