The generation of women before me fought wholeheartedly to have access to legalized abortion.
With inadequate or no accessible form of birth control, women who succumbed to those lying words, “I love you,” in the heat of passion were abandoned and left to face the consequences alone. Some ended up killing themselves with botched hanger jobs.
In today’s world, we no longer need abortion.
There are numerous options for birth control and we have something now called DNA and paternity. For every women who falls for that famous line, we now can confirm the baby daddy and expect a child-support check.
So I say to those 25 men who voted in Alabama to end abortion: Bring it on!
