The mayor is something else.
On the one hand, he is all in when it comes to climate change. Waikiki and all areas next to the ocean are going to be underwater sooner rather than later.
On the other hand, he is all in when it comes to spending money, at taxpayer expense, to help develop Ala Moana Park for the adjacent and growing affluent neighborhood of Kakaako.
Again, he misses the mark of fiduciary vigilance.
Instead, why not concern himself with areas controlled by the city that are covered with trash and overgrown weeds?
He’s been at the helm for years, yet the island is looking dumpier by the day.
Typical bureaucracy.
