The dictatorship of a minority that has for years delayed the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope is emblematic of the most divisive element in our state: The Kingdom of Hawaii.
Kingdoms are anathema to the laws of nature and universe by preventing every child from reaching his or her fullest potential in the realm of politics at the national level, and should be done away with.
Those at the highest level of our federal government should declare the existence of the Kingdom of Hawaii as being contrary to the laws of the United States.
Regarding the Thirty Meter Telescope, Mauna Kea is unique in providing the best view of the universe. Five diverse nations representing more than half of humanity — the United States, Canada, India, China and Japan — have united through the blessing of science to make it a reality.
