The Ka Iwi Coast, mauka to makai, should be viewed through the lens of a comprehensive approach to the care of this epic cultural and natural resource that wraps around the eastern tip of Oahu and is regarded as one of the most picturesque and accessible coastal highways in the state.
Each agency, landowner and stewarding group should participate in quarterly decisions framed around the cumulative effect of any one new Ka Iwi action, land program, enforcement effort and restoration endeavor. This includes having the two Ka Iwi Coast bookend commercial enterprises, Sea Life Park and Hanauma Bay Education Program, participate.
