Many years ago, Princess Abigail Kawananakoa created a trust to benefit the Hawaiian people. She had a sense of duty because of her status as part of Hawaiian nobility. She feels a sense of responsibility for her people and is very generous to wide-ranging causes.
She has been involved in many various charities, but nothing is more appreciated than her support for Waimanalo community projects (school supplies, Waimanalo Health Center, etc). She has never publicized her kindness and continues to donate substantial funds to various organizations.
We are very concerned that her trust will be terminated and the beneficiaries will be left out. I have the utmost faith in her and I’m sure this is not her intent. As royalty, she always will put her people first. We all hope that everyone concerned can work things out and her legacy can live on.
