Earth is not the only planet in this vast universe, but the only one so far occupied by life forms living in supporting surroundings. Our ability to keep our planet clean is far beyond our capacity.
We have polluted the Earth, the water and the air. Here in Hawaii, some urgent measures are needed to stop further degradation of the situation.
I have two dogs and I walk them twice a day. During that time I pick up their discharge and also an average of three to four pounds of trash. In 365 days, I collected 1,095 pounds, and in two years, one ton of debris (mostly plastic).
We need to be concerned about our environment, or we will perish by our negligence and egotism.
So please save our island, our ocean and our forest. We need them to survive.
