Letter: If Poliahu objects, then don’t build the TMT

Here’s a challenge to those who block access to Mauna Kea.

I’m with former Gov. George Ari-yoshi: We need the Thirty Meter Telescope for knowledge. Does the goddess Poliahu defy intelligence? Does she claim superiority over the endangered Earth? Then, she is a cruel immortal.

Let a Christian kupuna be as brave as Chiefess Kapiolani. Shovel away dirt at the place where TMT will reside. If Poliahu objects, she will demonstrate her anger. Then TMT is pau. If Poliahu does nothing, we start construction.
