Gov. David Ige’s seeming failure to communicate with both sides of the Mauna Kea observatory issue is discouraging. He has not offered solutions.
Regardless of whether you are for or against the Thirty Meter Telescope, you have been let down by Ige. His “copping out” of sworn duties has left anti-TMT and pro-TMT supporters to fend for themselves, with no end in sight
Ige’s inaction has led Hawaii into a state of lawlessness and chaos. His sense of a moral compass appears silent with his inability to resolve the matter to mutual agreement. So sad. There is more harm done by indecision than the wrong decision.
Ige’s leadership continues to echo: Don’t come to Hawaii with a business. We will make your life miserable.
