Letter: Report of management at Queen’s is shocking

We were shocked to read the commentary, “Mismanagement at Queen’s driving physicians out of Hawaii,” by Dr. Mihae Yu (Star-Advertiser, Sept. 5).

We all know Hawaii has a problem of not enough doctors, yet The Queen’s Medical Center is firing competent doctors by bringing in a contractor to save money.

We hope to God we won’t have to go to Queen’s in an emergency. It would be spooky. Queen’s administrators should be ashamed of what they are doing, and the people of Hawaii should be very concerned.
