Is it just me, or is anyone else wondering why our mayor hasn’t addressed the issue of gun violence on this island yet?
For example: A gunman in Pacific Palisades barricaded himself in a home and started shooting at officers; a motorcyclist shot at a man in a wheelchair in Wahiawa; a homeless man was shot by another homeless man in Kahului; the shooting at Lucky Strike at Ala Moana Shopping Center; an adult male threatened his neighbor with a gun in Kaneohe — and this is just in the month of September.
Hello, Mayor Caldwell! We have a problem here that he seems to be ignoring. This isn’t the mainland, but we sure have people who own guns here, too. Is he not concerned about us?
Is he waiting for something bigger to happen before he responds? I sincerely hope not — on both counts.
