Community tours nearly complete rail station at Leeward Community College

People checked out the inside of a train during Saturday's community viewing.

People were sitting and milling around the inside of a train on Saturday.

Seated on a seat in the train are twins Ava and Miya Baltazar with Anastasia Paige, all four years old.

A lone seat is available at the front and back of each HART train which has no operators on board.

The Halaulani station platform is seen on Saturday.

The overhead storage can hold suitcases, surfboards and backpacks. There are also bike racks on board.

People are seen leaving and entering the train. Each train has four cabins and can seat 188 people.

HART opened the Halaulani station at Leeward Community College for its first public preview on Saturday. It is one of nine stations to be part of an initial increment of service projected to start by the end of this year.
