Motorcyclist, 19, critically hurt in Kapolei crash
Honolulu police said a 19-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in Kapolei when he attempted to travel between two vehicles on the H-1 freeway this afternoon.
The motorcyclist struck a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old man, police said.
The 19-year-old man was thrown onto the roadway.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash at 1:44 p.m. near Exit 1E in the westbound lanes of the H-1 freeway.
EMS said personnel treated the victim and took him by ambulance to a hospital.
The 50-year-old driver was not injured and remained at the scene of the collision.
