Youth hit by car driven by off-duty officer
A boy went to the hospital today after he was hit by a vehicle driven by an off-duty police officer in Kapolei.
Police said the boy, 11, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition with shoulder pain.
The accident occurred at 91-1016 Kahalepouli St., at about 3:25 p.m.
According to police, the boy unexpectedly rode into the street while lying down on a skateboard. Police said the officer did not see the boy, but heard a thump.
