HE KNOWS IF YOU'VE BEEN BAD OR GOOD: Tom Bellit seemed to be telling his dog Hoku to sit for a photo in front of a makeshift Christmas tree yesterday along the beach in Kailua. Hoku eventually got the message and posed dutifully.
Wet weather blows in
Expect some rain today and tomorrow as Kona winds bring up moist tropical air and an 80 percent chance of showers. Derek Wroe, a forecaster with the National Weather Service, says a large weather system 1,000 miles to the west was cutting off the usual tradewinds . There’s also an increased chance of vog from the Big Island. Forecasters say the rainy weather likely will continue through Tuesday.
