Hawaii receives $2.9 million to create job opportunities for disabled adults

The state is receiving $2.9 million from the federal government to help improve job opportunities for disabled adults.

The state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations said Thursday that Hawaii is one of seven states that received grants under the Disability Employment Initiative. The states received $21 million altogether.
