U.S., Singaporean soldiers train at Bellows

Members of the Singaporean army joined Schofield Barracks soldiers at Marine Corps Training Area Bellows on Tuesday for a drill that was part of the nations' annual Tiger Balm exercises. The Singaporean soldiers returned fire upon spotting a sniper, above. At right, a "wounded" soldier is readied for evacuation.

A “wounded” Singaporean soldier was dragged into a house after being hit by a sniper during a drill Tuesday with Schofield Barracks soldiers in the mock Afghan/Middle East village at Marine Corps Training Area Bellows. The training, part of the armies’ annual Tiger Balm exercises, comes as the United States intensifies its push in the Asia-Pacific region.
