Ikaika Urasaki scored the winning run on a bases-loaded passed ball as Castle edged Moanalua 4-3 in an OIA Red East baseball game Saturday at the Knights’ field.
After Na Menehune took a 2-1 lead in the top of the sixth inning, Castle (2-0) answered with two runs in the bottom half on RBI doubles by Andre Fraticelli and Kyler Martin.
Moanalua came back to tie the game in the top of the seventh, but three Castle singles set the stage for the game-deciding play.
"It was a total team effort," Knights coach Rocky Fraticelli said. "Kyler Martin came in as a pinch hitter and got that double. Everyone pretty much contributed."
Castle senior Billy Kerkau earned the win, pitching 12/3 innings of relief.
