MAKANI MOMENT: After their Crystal Cruise ship docked in Kobe, Japan, on April 11, Jeri and Rick Broadfoot of Honolulu came upon the Makani Restaurant. The door was adorned with the words "aloha" and "e komo mai," plus pictures of monstera leaves and honu, or sea turtles. The employees were wearing aloha shirts with lei. The photo was taken by an accommodating employee from a retail store next door, said Jeri Broadfoot.
