Honolulu police released this surveillance video image of a suspect in the robbery of the Salt Lake Tesoro store at 4259 Lawehana Street Wednesday morning.

Honolulu police released security camera video of a suspect who apparently robbed two gas station convenience stores this morning within an hour of each other.

In both cases, the suspect was dressed in a white hooded jacket, covered his face with a yellow cloth, and used a gun to demand money from clerks.

The suspect wore white pants in one robbery and jeans in another robbery.

The first incident happened at about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday at the Tesoro Gas Station on Lawehana Street in Salt Lake. Police said a man demanded money from a 21-year-old female clerk with a handgun.

The second incident happened less than an hour later at the Aloha Island Mart on Farrington Highway in Waipahu when the robber brandished a handgun and demanded money from clerks.

Police are not saying if the robberies are connected to each other or if the incidents may be connected to other robberies of stores in Central Oahu and Kalihi in December.
