John Henry Felix, left, and Carolyn Berry Wilson talked with Dr. Lawrence K.W. Tseu before his induction into the Silversword Hall of Fame at Chaminade University’s seventh annual Intercollegiate Athletics Gala on Thursday at the Ala Moana Hotel. In accepting the honor, and a large “silver sword” as a permanent memento, Tseu recalled his childhood as a “poor little shoeshine boy from Kalihi” and thanked Chaminade for “allowing me the opportunity to give back to them and also to give back to the community.”
