‘HAPPY 87th, EDDIE!’
Pianist/composer Bob Nelson, left, provided the party music when Myrna and Eddie Kamae celebrated Eddie Kamae’s 87th birthday with several dozen friends Wednesday at the Elks Club (Kamae’s birthday is Aug. 4, but Nelson plays at the Elks on Wednesdays). Nelson not only played several hours of beautiful instrumental music, but graciously served as an accompanist for people who wanted to sing in Kamae’s honor.
