3rd West Oahu homeless outreach employee charged with theft

Another former employee of an organization that provides homeless outreach services in West Oahu has been charged with stealing state funds.

The state attorney general’s office says Jamye Windsor is charged with stealing more than $50,000 in state funds from Waianae Community Outreach.

She is the third former employee to be charged with felony theft. The organization’s former executive director and former program director were charged previously.

The attorney general’s office says Windsor was arrested Wednesday and released on bail. She couldn’t immediately be reached for comment Thursday.

The nonprofit receives nearly $1 million a year from the state to operate a transitional housing shelter in Kalaeloa and provide outreach services for hundreds of homeless Leeward Coast families.
