ANTICIPATING THE MOON FESTIVAL

Eddie Flores Jr., president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, talked with Chinese tea expert Qianyi Xu, seated left, her translator, Jan Z. Leu, and Narcissus Pageant director Mi- chele Choy after the CCCH’s “Moon Cake, Tea Pairing & Dim Sum Tasting” brunch Sept. 20 at the Empress Restaurant. Moon cakes and tea pairings are part of the annual autumn Moon Festi- val, a Chinese tradition that goes back more than 1,000 years.
