Medic was popular ‘people person’ who improved outreach

Bobby Pedro, a 36-year veteran and former district chief of Honolulu’s Emergency Medical Services, died Tuesday at age 65. Pedro, who was interviewed for a Honolulu Advertiser article on the fifth anniversary of 9/11, said the terror attack changed the way first responders view their jobs.
